A Shakey’s Dinner

Jas and I wanted to hang out with Tito Tony before he left for work for the week and before we left for Boracay and Davao.

Tito Tony visited us when we got back from Baguio on saturday night. We talked story and he looked pretty tired. It was weird because he looks so much like my dad. But in a superbly younger way. He actually looked more of a twin of my dad instead of Tito Jimmy.

So the nine of us- Tita Fe, Karen, Ohan (little CRAZY cousin), Jas, me, Jen, Michael, Tita Nora, and Tito Tony all crammed together in his Adventure. I would rather ride in that SUV than Tita Fe’s Navara.

Before I met Michael (cousin), I assumed he was huge, as in tall and buff? No. I was sooo wrong. He is small and skinny. I always imagined that he would be taller than us. I don’t know. I guess it was because of Kuya Mark. And because of the way that mommy and daddy described him to be.

I wanted to eat Shakey’s because I thought it would be like the states. It is… but I think the menu in the Philippines is much more better than here. But I wouldn’t eat their pizza again because it was too salty and I didn’t like the cheese that they used. Everything else was good.

The only thing that irked me and my sister out was that Tita Fe was like, “This is too much food.” Or “No, don’t get that.” We told her that we were paying and not her. But she kept on insisting that we shouldn’t get this or that. And another thing was Michael…He had such negative vibes coming from him. When I went into Comic Alley, I was asking Karen what she wanted and then I would ask Michael what he wanted and he would just give me the death stare. Seriously. He looked pissed at the world. Tita Nora would try and talk and make him smile or something and he wouldn’t budge. He needs to have his attitude changed. But when it comes to Karen, he would laugh and stuff. He didn’t really like us I guess. He would just stop and look at you. He’s only 12 and his attitude is bad. Puberty.

Tita Fe didn’t want to eat at Shakey’s. She was like, “Oh, let’s eat here. It’s only 100 pesos for a buffet.” But then when we went inside to ask for the price for dinner the guy said 350 pesos. Tita Fe said nevermind. Jas and I wanted to treat everyone to somewhere nice and not something like that. Hahah, after she learned it was 350 pesos, she just said let’s eat at Shakey’s. Omg.

I like the last picture I took of my Tito. He has a grin on his face because he likes to put ketchup on top of pizza. Apparently, a lot of filipinos do.

Dinner was good. Except the salty pizza. For nine people it was only 45 dollars!  I LOVE family dinners. Next time we’ll have the whole TABANAM clan. Next time.
